Tinubu Hosts Queen Mary of Denmark at State House in Abuja

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Tuesday received Queen Mary Elizabeth of Denmark at the State House in Abuja in what marks a significant moment in Nigeria’s diplomatic engagement with the Kingdom of Denmark.

The monarch was welcomed at the President’s official residence by President Tinubu and First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, ahead of a high-level closed-door meeting. Though the full details of the talks were not immediately disclosed, the visit is seen as part of broader efforts to strengthen bilateral ties between the two nations.

Present at the reception were:

  • Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, Chief of Staff to the President

  • Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, Minister of Foreign Affairs

  • Alhaji Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning

The Queen was accompanied by the Danish Ambassador to Nigeria, Jens Ole Bach Hansen, underscoring the diplomatic significance of the visit.
