Al Jazeera confirmed on Monday that its journalist, Mohammad Salama, was killed in an Israeli strike on a medical complex in Gaza, marking the second deadly attack on the broadcaster’s staff in just two weeks.

The Qatar-based network said Salama, a photojournalist and cameraman, died in the assault on Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis, where at least 14 people, including other journalists, were killed.

Gaza’s Civil Defence spokesman, Mahmud Bassal, reported that an Israeli explosive drone first targeted a building at the hospital before a follow-up airstrike struck as wounded victims were being evacuated.
