The Apapa Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has set a new record, generating N20.1 billion in daily revenue, just 24 hours after the assumption of office by its newly deployed Comptroller, Emmanuel Oshoba.

The latest feat, achieved through the Unified Customs Management System (UCMS), popularly called B’Odogwu, represents the highest single-day revenue ever recorded by any command of the NCS.

In a statement signed by the Command’s Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Tunde Ayagbalo, the collection surpassed the previous N18 billion record set under the former leadership. He emphasized that the achievement reflected the officers’ hard work, dedication, and strict commitment to duty.

Reacting to the development, Comptroller Oshoba described the milestone as only the beginning of greater exploits under his leadership.

“This is not the time for celebration. I foresee greater achievements for this flagship command of the NCS,” he said. “Clapping means removing your two hands from work, and we cannot afford that now.”
