Ballon d’Or 2025: Date, Time, and Full List of Nominees

The 69th edition of the prestigious Ballon d’Or will take place on Monday, September 22, 2025, at the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris. The ceremony will celebrate the world’s best footballers across multiple categories for their performances in the 2024/25 season.

Unlike previous editions, this year’s award will not consider performances from the new campaign, making last season’s achievements decisive.

How to Watch

The event will be broadcast live on SuperSport, with Kate Scott and former Chelsea and Netherlands star Ruud Gullit hosting. Last year’s ceremony began at 7:45 PM, though this year’s official start time is yet to be confirmed.

Key Storylines

Men’s Ballon d’Or: PSG’s Champions League triumph could boost Ousmane Dembélé, considered a frontrunner. However, strong individual campaigns from Lamine Yamal, Raphinha, and Mohamed Salah make the race highly competitive.

Women’s Ballon d’Or: England’s Euro 2025 victory and Arsenal’s Champions League success put Alessia Russo and Leah Williamson in contention, alongside Spain’s trio of Aitana Bonmatí, Alexia Putellas, and Mariona Caldentey.
