NEMA distributes relief materials to Kano flood victims

The National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Kano Operations Office, in collaboration with the Kano State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), has distributed relief materials to households affected by recent flooding in Rimin Gado/Dawakin Tofa/Tofa Federal Constituency, Kano State.

The exercise, carried out in partnership with the office of the House of Representatives member representing the constituency, was aimed at supporting the most affected communities.

During the distribution, affected households received essential food supplies including rice, maize, beans, vegetable oil, salt, seasoning cubes, and tomatoes to help ease the hardship caused by the disaster.

A representative of the constituency commended the agencies for their swift response, describing the intervention as timely and impactful.

Beneficiaries expressed gratitude to the Federal Government, NEMA, and the lawmaker for their support, praying for continued protection from future disasters and promising to cooperate with authorities in reducing disaster risks.

NEMA noted that the exercise was well-coordinated with the help of SEMA officials and security agencies to ensure transparency and orderliness throughout the process.

The relief effort is part of ongoing initiatives by the Federal Government and emergency agencies to support communities affected by flooding across Kano State.
