The Edo State Government has appointed Dr. Patrick Ebojele as the new Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Monday Okpebholo.
Before this appointment, Dr. Ebojele lectured at the Federal Polytechnic, Auchi, and built a solid career in journalism, public administration, and research.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Umar Ikhilor, Dr. Ebojele takes over from Fred Itua.

The government described him as a seasoned media professional with years of experience across respected Nigerian news organisations, including Channels Television, New Nigerian Newspaper, Champion Newspaper, and Comet Newspapers.
The statement added that his appointment aligns with the administration’s goal of improving communication between the government and the people, ensuring transparency and proper dissemination of policies and programmes.
Fred Itua, the outgoing CPS, will be reassigned to a new role that will be announced later. The government also thanked him for his service and contributions.
