Fire Guts Section of Leventis Plaza in Abuja

A fire outbreak has damaged part of Leventis Plaza in Abuja, affecting a tailoring workshop on the first floor of the commercial complex.

The Federal Fire Service (FFS) said the incident was suspected to have been caused by an electrical surge. Firefighters responded swiftly and were able to contain the blaze, stopping it from spreading to other parts of the plaza and nearby facilities, including Grand Square, The Palm Hotels and Frazier’s Suites.

In a statement released on Sunday, the FFS spokesperson, Paul Abraham, said the service received a distress call and immediately deployed its Special Unit from the National Headquarters. According to him, the crew, led by SF Adoko, arrived at the scene within five minutes and took quick action to bring the fire under control.
