The naira recorded mixed performance on Wednesday, gaining slightly in the parallel market but weakening at the official window.
In the black market, the naira appreciated to N1,380 per dollar, improving from N1,385 traded on Tuesday.
However, at the Nigerian Foreign Exchange Market (NFEM), the currency depreciated to N1,340 per dollar. Figures from the Central Bank of Nigeria showed the indicative exchange rate rose from N1,337 per dollar on Tuesday, representing a N3 loss for the naira.

As a result of the movements in both markets, the gap between the parallel market and the official rate narrowed to N40 per dollar, down from N48 recorded the previous day.
