Yobe Orders Closure of Recreation Centres Over Eid Security Concerns

The Yobe State Government has directed the temporary closure of all recreational centres across the state during the Eid-el-Fitr celebrations due to security concerns.

The directive was announced on Wednesday by the Special Adviser on Security Matters to the governor, Brigadier General Dahiru Abdussalam (retd), who explained that the current security situation does not support large public gatherings, particularly among young people.

According to the statement, recreational centres in the state typically attract large crowds during festive periods, but authorities are taking precautionary steps this year to prevent any potential security threats.
