The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) has reaffirmed its commitment to intensifying air operations against terrorists and criminal elements across the country.

This assurance was given by the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Sunday Aneke, during an Eid-el-Fitr luncheon held for troops of Operation WHIRL STROKE in Makurdi, Benue State. Aneke, who was represented by the Chief of Civil-Military Relations, Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, commended the troops for their courage, discipline, and sacrifices in the line of duty.

He stated that the Air Force remains focused on intelligence-driven air campaigns aimed at weakening the operational strength of terrorist groups and criminal networks. According to him, the NAF has continued to carry out precision strikes, close air support, and armed reconnaissance missions in collaboration with other security agencies.

“These operations have significantly disrupted the logistics, command structures, and movement of criminal elements,” he noted, adding that recent successes were a result of the professionalism and determination of personnel on the frontlines.
