The White House on Monday confirmed that a proposed 45-day ceasefire with Iran is under consideration, but President Donald Trump has not approved the deal and military operations are still ongoing.

According to US officials, the proposal—reportedly put forward by international mediators—has been received in Washington as part of efforts to de-escalate the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

However, a White House official made it clear that no final decision has been taken. “This is one of many ideas, and POTUS has not signed off on it. Operation Epic Fury continues,” the official said.
