The Nigerian DJ Association has announced a temporary ban on songs by Burna Boy, following a reported altercation involving the artist and DJ Tunez at a private event in Lagos.
According to reports, the incident occurred inside a nightclub, where a disagreement between Burna Boy and DJ Tunez allegedly escalated into a physical confrontation. Eyewitness accounts claim that members of the singer’s crew were also involved, with DJ Tunez said to have been assaulted during the scuffle.
Reacting to the development, the Nigerian DJ Association released a statement on Tuesday expressing solidarity with DJ Tunez and directing DJs both in Nigeria and abroad to remove Burna Boy’s songs from their playlists until further notice.
The association emphasised the need for unity, professionalism, and respect within the entertainment industry, stating that all DJs deserve equal treatment and protection regardless of circumstances.
