The Economic Community of West African States has officially launched its 2026 recruitment exercise, calling on qualified citizens from member countries, including Nigeria, to apply for more than 30 job openings across its institutions.

In a notice released on Thursday, the regional body said the recruitment is part of efforts to strengthen the delivery of its programmes across key sectors. Interested applicants are required to submit their applications through the organisation’s official careers portal.

Several roles are available in Abuja, ranging from Office Aide and Programme Assistant to Nurse, Legal Officer, Accountant, Political Advisor, and senior positions such as Registrar and Head of Division.

Opportunities are also open outside Nigeria, including positions in Addis Ababa, Liberia, Conakry, and Dakar, covering administrative, finance, and programme-related roles.

According to the organisation, age requirements vary depending on the category of the job. Applicants for general or support roles must not exceed 35 years, while professional roles have a limit of 45 years. Director-level positions are open to candidates up to 50 years old.
