President Bola Tinubu has arrived in Nairobi, Kenya, ahead of the Africa-France Summit set to begin later on Monday.
The presidential aircraft, an Airbus A330-200, touched down at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport around 12:15 a.m. local time, according to a statement from the State House media office released early Monday.
Tinubu’s visit to Kenya marks his second trip to the country since July 2023 and forms part of a three-nation diplomatic tour. Before arriving in Nairobi, the Nigerian leader visited France, where he met with international investors and reaffirmed Nigeria’s commitment to economic reforms and fiscal discipline.

The Africa-France Summit, jointly hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron and Kenyan President William Ruto, will run from May 11 to May 12.
The summit, themed “Africa Forward: Africa-France Partnerships for Innovation and Growth,” will focus on key issues including energy transition, green industrialisation, digital transformation, climate action and reforms to the global financial system.
According to the Presidency, Tinubu’s participation reflects Nigeria’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with African countries and France while positioning the country as a major investment destination.
The President is expected to deliver an address highlighting his administration’s economic reforms and investment drive. He is also scheduled to hold separate meetings with African and global business leaders on the sidelines of the summit.
After the Kenya engagement, Tinubu will travel to Kigali, Rwanda, for the Africa CEO Forum slated for May 14 to 15 before returning to Nigeria ahead of the APC presidential primary on May 23.t
