ADC Unveils Kaduna Senatorial Candidates for 2027 Elections

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has completed its senatorial primaries in Kaduna State, producing candidates who will represent the party in the 2027 general elections.

The Chairman of the party’s Primary Elections Committee in the state, Ladan Salihu, announced the results during a press conference in Kaduna on Sunday.

Salihu explained that the party had previously conducted its presidential and governorship primaries, while the latest exercise covered senatorial, House of Representatives and selected State House of Assembly positions.

He said the successful conduct of the primaries demonstrated the ADC’s commitment to transparency, internal democracy and a credible candidate selection process.

According to him, all winners emerged through processes conducted in line with the party’s guidelines and have been officially cleared to fly the party’s flag in the 2027 elections.

For Kaduna North Senatorial District, Khalid Ibrahim Mustafa Soba emerged as the party’s candidate after polling 83,070 votes in an uncontested race.

In Kaduna Central, Lawal Adamu Usman secured the ticket with 47,488 votes, also running unopposed.

For Kaduna South Senatorial District, Godfrey Ali Gaya defeated his rival, Aminchi Abu, polling 28,378 votes against 5,299 votes.

Salihu expressed confidence that the emergence of the candidates would strengthen the party’s position ahead of the 2027 elections, adding that the ADC remains focused on expanding its influence across Kaduna State and beyond.

He noted that political activities are gradually gathering momentum ahead of the next election cycle, with the party determined to present candidates capable of winning the confidence of voters.
