Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminalayi Fubara, has received a pledge of loyalty from Rep Boniface Emerengwa, the member representing Ikwerre/Emohua Federal Constituency, affirming his support for the governor's administration. Rep Emerengwa, accompanied by three other members of the House of Representatives, visited Governor Fubara at Government House, Port Harcourt, to express their solidarity and support.
During the visit, Governor Fubara assured Rep Emerengwa of his commitment to delivering on his promises to the people of Rivers State. Rep Emerengwa, representing Barrister Nyesom Wike's interests in the House of Representatives, stated his total support and loyalty to the administration, recognizing Governor Fubara as both the leader of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the State.
A prominent politician in Ikwerre Ethnic Nationality, Rep Emerengwa pledged to mobilize his supporters in his constituency to join Governor Fubara in his efforts to take the State to new heights of peace and development. He emphasized the need to support the Governor to achieve sustainable peace and accelerate inclusive development in Rivers State.
The pledge of allegiance from Rep Emerengwa and other House of Representatives members comes amidst a wave of resignations from elected politicians across local government areas, who have vowed to support Governor Fubara's success. Notable among them is the Leader of Obio/Akpor Legislative Council and Councillor representing Ward 9, Rt. Hon. Achor Prince Nna, who resigned on March 7, signaling strong support for the Governor.
