Accord Party’s governorship candidate, Kennedy Iyere, has officially withdrawn from the 2024 Edo Gubernatorial election. He cited a desire to serve Nigeria at a higher level, leveraging his expertise to tackle the nation’s food and hunger crisis through his ‘Food4All Initiative’ presented to President Bola Tinubu.
Iyere also highlighted internal party conflicts, accusing his running mate, Bright Enabulele, of attempting to sabotage his candidacy. Despite stepping down, he urged Edo voters to prioritize peace and vote with their conscience in the upcoming election.

Focusing on national development, Iyere announced plans to work with the federal government on economic inclusion and youth engagement programs. He aims to help drive initiatives that promote entrepreneurship, create jobs, and alleviate poverty, especially in the agricultural and technology sectors.
His intervention programs, set to launch in October 2024, aim to empower over six million youths and women entrepreneurs in the first year, offering them access to business capital and employment opportunities across various industries.
