Prince Adeyemi Nejo, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Ondo State, has accepted the results of last Saturday’s governorship election, in which he placed third. He described the election as peaceful and conducted substantially in line with the Electoral Act, 2022.
In a statement, Nejo congratulated Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa on his re-election, emphasizing the importance of prioritizing the state’s collective interests over personal ambitions. He assured that the ADC would remain a constructive opposition, committed to holding the administration accountable.
"While we will continue to play our role as a viable opposition, I felicitate with the winner of the election, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa. I wish him success as he steers the affairs of the state for another four years," Nejo stated.
Similarly, Hon. Adegboyega Adefarati, representing Akoko South/East and South/West Federal Constituency, urged all stakeholders to rally behind Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration.
Adefarati commended the governor’s leadership and called for unity to drive the state's development. "Let us put politics aside and focus on advancing the interests of our state. Together, we can achieve the Ondo State of our dreams," he added.
Governor Aiyedatiwa’s re-election has been hailed as a vote of confidence in his commitment to Ondo State’s growth and well-being.
