Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has urged residents to remain vigilant and security-conscious as they celebrate the Easter festivities.
The governor also assured citizens that adequate measures have been put in place to protect lives and property across the state during the period.
This was contained in a statement issued on Thursday by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Idowu Ajanaku. The government extended Easter greetings to Christians, stressing that the safety of residents remains a top priority.
According to the statement, comprehensive security arrangements have been activated across the state to ensure a peaceful and hitch-free celebration. Security agencies have been strategically deployed, with continuous surveillance and intelligence gathering aimed at preventing any breach of peace.

Residents were advised to stay alert and promptly report any suspicious activities to the appropriate authorities.
The government also called on citizens to continue praying for peace, unity, and progress in Ondo State and Nigeria as a whole. It further urged support for President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Reaffirming its commitment, the state government said it would spare no effort in maintaining law and order before, during, and after the Easter celebrations.
