“We went as far as Kogi and Edo to track and arrest the suspect, who has been operating for over five years. He has confessed to stealing numerous motorcycles in Akure, Ogbese, and Uso, dismantling them, and transporting the parts out of state,” Adeleye said.

In addition, Amotekun personnel arrested five suspects involved in stealing household items and foodstuffs. Another group of suspects was apprehended for allegedly breaking into a shop and selling stolen mattresses for N5,000 to N10,000 each.

Adeleye commended the recent establishment of Amotekun Rangers, noting that their presence in border forests between Edo and Kogi has led to further arrests of criminals hiding in these regions. The arrests are part of ongoing efforts to curb crime across the state.
