In a decisive move against human trafficking, the Anambra State Government, through the Ministry of Women and Social Welfare, has handed over a couple and an accomplice to the police in Ifitedunu, Dunukofia Local Government Area. The arrest followed a report from community chairman Mr. Arinzechukwu Azodo, prompting swift action by Commissioner Ify Obinabo.

According to reports, the suspects were intercepted just as they were about to finalize a transaction worth one million naira. One of the suspects, Ebere, confessed to her involvement, stating that she had agreed to facilitate the sale of her twin baby after being approached by Temple Nwankwo. However, Temple denied any participation in the alleged transaction.
