APC Emphasizes Unity for National Development Amid New Leadership Surge

The All Progressives Congress (APC) underscored the significance of unity among its members for both party growth and national progress. Alhaji Zakari Babale, Secretary of APC's Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC), emphasized this during a ceremony in Abuja on Thursday, July 11. The occasion marked the welcoming of Dr. Ahmed Ibrahim, recently retired legal advisor of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), into the party.

Babale, also Chairman of APC FCT Secretary’s Forum, expressed confidence that Ibrahim's expertise would rejuvenate the party in preparation for the 2027 general elections. Acknowledging challenges within the FCT chapter, he urged members to rally behind President Bola Tinubu's leadership and focus on constructive contributions to society.

He urged APC members to remain steadfast amidst opposition efforts to discredit Tinubu and the party, emphasizing the importance of promoting government policies for the nation's benefit. Babale, speaking on behalf of AMAC Chairman Alhaji Abbas Baba, praised Ibrahim as a valuable addition to the party, noting his non-political background as strategically advantageous.

In his remarks, Ibrahim affirmed his decision to join APC based on his belief in its positive impact for Nigeria. He called for collective support towards President Tinubu's vision and policies, highlighting advancements in security, agriculture, education, and youth inclusion under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Ibrahim stressed the administration's efforts in stabilizing the nation and enhancing economic recovery and international relations, urging national unity for sustained development.
