The Coalition for Truth and Justice has released a preliminary report clearing the National Chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, of alleged corruption. The report dismisses the allegations against Ganduje as a smear campaign aimed at tarnishing his image.

According to the Coalition's findings, the alleged evidence presented against Ganduje lacks clarity and direct linkage to establish guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. The report warns against using state apparatus to witch-hunt political opponents and emphasizes that Ganduje enjoys the presumption of innocence until proven guilty.

The report highlights that the bribery allegations against Ganduje, primarily based on a video allegedly showing him receiving bribes, lack authenticity and context. It also questions the procedural integrity of the probe, suggesting that it was teleguided by Ganduje's predecessor, Engineer Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, and lacks due process.

The Coalition concludes that the allegations against Ganduje have political undertones aimed at shifting focus from the government of Kano State's performance. It asserts that Ganduje did not commit any infraction while in office and describes the probe as a waste of time and resources.

The report calls for fairness and objectivity in approaching the allegations, emphasizing the need for thorough investigation and adherence to principles of natural justice. It also urges for a comprehensive investigation that includes all relevant actors, not just focusing on Ganduje.

In conclusion, the Coalition for Truth and Justice states that the allegations against Ganduje are a political strategy intended to divert attention from the government's performance in Kano State. It reaffirms Ganduje's innocence and commitment to transparency and accountability.
