Governor Lucky Orimisan Ayiedatiwa, the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer for the November Ondo Governorship Election, is set to receive his certificate of return from the party on Monday, April 29. This follows his declaration as the winner of the April 20 APC governorship shadow election by the Governor Usman Ododo-led 7-man primary election committee.
The presentation of the certificate comes three days after the National Chairman of the party, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, appealed to aggrieved aspirants who participated in the shadow poll to support the party’s candidate in the governorship poll.
The certificate presentation is scheduled for 4 pm after the weekly meeting of the National Working Committee (NWC) at the national Secretariat of the party in Abuja. APC Deputy National Organising Secretary, Nze Chidi Duru, confirmed that the presentation will hold as planned.
Governor Ayiedatiwa's receipt of the certificate of return signifies a formal endorsement by the APC for his candidacy in the upcoming Ondo Governorship Election, solidifying his position as the party's representative for the crucial contest.
