Fourteen individuals have been abducted by suspected bandits in Dogon Noma-Ungwan Gamo community, located in the Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State. This incident occurred shortly after 61 people were kidnapped in the nearby Buda community, also within Kajuru LGA.
Although the police have not yet confirmed the attack, Sani Musa, a youth leader, reported to Channels Television that the bandits, in large numbers, raided Dogon Noma community early on Saturday, firing shots indiscriminately. As a result, fourteen individuals were abducted, and one person sustained injuries.
The abducted victims include Bulus Dandaura, Murna Bulus, Donald Bulus, Labari Audu, Zainabu Dauda, Dorcas Titus, Jummai Garba, Felicia Wanzami, Ruth Thomas, Esther Oliver, Comfort Babangida, Yakubu Pama, Abaza Monday, and Christy Samuel. The injured individual, Jibrin Dauda, has been taken to the hospital for medical treatment.
The escalating incidents of kidnapping in the region have raised concerns about the security situation, prompting calls for urgent intervention to ensure the safety of residents.
