Bauchi Police Begin Screening for New Constable Recruits

The Bauchi State Police Command has announced the start of a screening exercise for candidates who applied to join the Nigeria Police Force as constables.

The Commissioner of Police in the state, Aliyu Sani-Omolori, said the screening will begin on Monday at the Police Training School Bauchi.

In a statement issued by the command’s spokesperson, Nafiu Habib, the announcement was made on behalf of the Inspector-General of Police, Olatunji Disu.

According to the statement, the exercise is specifically for applicants from Bauchi State who successfully completed the online registration process.

The screening is scheduled to run from March 9 to April 18, 2026, and will begin daily at 7 a.m. at the Police Training School in Bauchi.

Applicants are advised to visit the recruitment portal to confirm their screening status and print the necessary documents required for the exercise. These include the Guarantor’s Form, Application Submission Slip, Invitation Slip, Credentials Screening Form, and Physical Screening Form.

Candidates are also expected to come along with other important documents such as their National Identity Number slip or card issued by the National Identity Management Commission, O’Level certificate, birth certificate or declaration of age, and Local Government or State of Origin certificate.

Specialist applicants must also present their trade test certificates, while the guarantor’s form must be properly completed and accompanied by passport photographs and photocopies of referees.

The police further instructed candidates to present both original and duplicate copies of their credentials, neatly arranged in two white flat files with recent passport photographs attached.

In addition, applicants are required to appear at the screening venue wearing white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings.

The command also warned candidates to be careful of fraudsters, stressing that the recruitment screening exercise is completely free.
