The winner of Big Brother Naija Season 10, Opeyemi Ayanwale, popularly known as Imisi, has announced plans to launch a Non-Governmental Organisation (NGO) aimed at empowering and supporting the girl child.
Imisi made this known shortly after receiving an additional ₦2 million cheque from BetKing in Lagos — a reward for winning a special competition sponsored by the betting company during her time in the Big Brother house.
Speaking at the event, the reality TV star described the gesture as both overwhelming and inspiring, expressing deep gratitude for the support she’s received since emerging as the show’s winner.
“I am overwhelmed; I am happy and grateful. I feel good seeing everything working in my favour,” she said. “Growing up as a girl wasn’t easy for me. It was a very dramatic and challenging time, and that’s why I’ve always wanted to create something that supports young girls going through similar struggles. I may not have all the details yet, but I’m determined to start a foundation for the girl child — that has always been my dream.”
Imisi, who had been an actress before joining the reality show, said Big Brother Naija gave her the exposure she needed to take her career and impact to the next level.
“I’ve been acting for a while, but Big Brother really gave me the platform to be seen and heard. I’m grateful for that because it means so much to me,” she added.

At the presentation ceremony, BetKing’s Head of Marketing, Nengi Akinola, explained that the cash prize was part of the company’s effort to reward housemates and promote its new line of exclusive games.
“This season, we introduced several unique games such as Danfo Lagos, inspired by the city’s famous buses, and JJ Ball X, created in collaboration with Jay Jay Okocha,” Akinola said. “Big Brother Naija gave us the perfect opportunity to showcase these games to a wider entertainment audience. It’s our first partnership with Big Brother, and we’re excited about the possibilities ahead.”
She added that the company was currently reviewing the impact of its collaboration with the show to decide on future partnerships.
“The possibilities are endless,” she noted. “We’re analysing the value we’ve gotten from this partnership, and we’ll see what’s next for us in the coming year.”
