Three Boko Haram insurgents have surrendered to troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) during "Operation Lake Sanity II," according to Lt.-Col. Abubakar Abdullahi, MNJTF's Chief Military Public Information Officer in Ndjamena, Chad.
In Cameroon's Sector I, Rawagana Mustapha, 18, and Mustapha Ali, 20, surrendered at Wulgo, while in Nigeria's Sector III, Ibrahim Malam, 28, surrendered to the 403 Amphibious Brigade in Baga. Malam, who had been a Boko Haram fighter for six years in Kwaleram, south of Lake Chad, was identified through preliminary investigations.
