Grammy-winning Nigerian music superstar Burna Boy has made history as the first African artist to generate record-breaking revenue from a single concert.
According to Touring Data, Burna Boy’s “No Sign of Weakness” tour became the highest-grossing tour by an African artist in Oceania, earning $3.1 million from 31,000 tickets sold across four shows. The milestone was achieved during the Sydney leg at Qudos Bank Arena, where a single show alone generated $1.117 million in revenue.
The tour spans 20 shows across three continents—North America, Europe, and Oceania—demonstrating the global appeal of African music. In Australia, four shows sold nearly 31,000 tickets, bringing in a total of $3.1 million.
