Chelsea

Chelsea have announced plans to visit Lagos for the first time in the club’s history as part of their global fan engagement initiative, The Famous CFC, scheduled for later this May.

The Premier League club confirmed that Lagos will host one of the final events of its 2025/26 fan programme, in partnership with MSport, its official betting partner in Africa.

Former Chelsea and Super Eagles star Victor Moses is expected to headline the event, engaging with fans through a series of activities aimed at celebrating the club’s global community.

According to the club, the Lagos stop will feature a full weekend of activities, including a watch party hosted by MSport, a question-and-answer session with Moses, and opportunities for fans to win signed merchandise.

The initiative is part of Chelsea’s broader effort to strengthen its connection with supporters worldwide, with Lagos marking the fifth stop on the international fan programme this season.

Moses remains a fan favourite, having played a key role in Chelsea’s 2016/17 Premier League title-winning campaign. He also represented Nigeria at the Africa Cup of Nations and two FIFA World Cups before retiring from international football in 2018.

The visit is expected to draw large crowds from Chelsea’s strong Nigerian fan base, offering supporters a rare opportunity to connect directly with the club and one of its former stars.
