The Chief of Army Staff (COAS), Lt.-General Taoreed Lagbaja, has initiated an investigation into alleged administrative discrepancies at the Nigerian Army's 3 Brigade in Kano. This move includes the suspension of the Brigade Commander, Brigadier General MA Sadiq, to facilitate an unbiased and thorough inquiry.
According to Army spokesperson Maj.-General Onyema Nwachukwu, the decision to investigate followed reports that surfaced on social media regarding the brigade's administration. The army, known for its foundation in discipline, justice, and accountability, emphasized that it will not tolerate any form of indiscipline or misconduct that could undermine its core values.
Maj.-General Nwachukwu assured the public that the probe would be conducted fairly, in line with the army's established procedures, and appropriate actions would follow based on the findings. The Nigerian Army reaffirmed its commitment to transparency and integrity in handling such matters.
