The Dangote Petroleum Refinery has announced a fresh reduction in the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), also known as petrol, with the new price ranging between N875 and N905 per litre depending on location.
This latest price adjustment, which represents a N15 reduction per litre across all regions and partner outlets, was confirmed on the company’s official social media handle on Thursday.
Under the revised pricing:
-
Lagos residents will now pay N875/litre (down from N890),
-
South-West: N885/litre,
-
North-East and South-South: N905/litre (previously N920),
-
North-West and North-Central: N895/litre,
-
South-East: N905/litre.
The price cut applies to major fuel marketers working in partnership with Dangote Refinery, including MRS, Ardova, Heyden, Optima Energy, Techno Oil, and Hyde Energy.
The company urged Nigerians to purchase fuel only from its certified partner outlets, encouraging them to report non-compliance or overpricing through the hotlines:

“Our quality petrol and diesel are refined for better engine performance and are environmentally friendly,” the refinery stated.
The development follows the reintroduction of a refund benefit policy to customers earlier this week and comes amid a new wave of petrol imports by independent oil marketers. According to a Tanker Position Report obtained by our correspondent, over 496.17 million litres of petrol were discharged at Nigerian seaports between May 11 and 20, 2025, with about 370,000 metric tonnes received across various depots.
On Monday, the 650,000 barrels per day Lekki-based Dangote Refinery disclosed that its naira-for-crude deal enabled the pricing reduction, helping to stabilize domestic pump prices despite global market volatility.
In a statement signed by the Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer, Anthony Chiejina, the company reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring affordable and stable petrol prices as part of its broader mission to support the Nigerian economy and ease the financial burden on citizens.
“Despite fluctuations in global crude oil prices, we have consistently reduced the price of petrol,” Chiejina noted.
“Our goal remains to maintain price stability and contribute to national economic relief.”
