Davido, Omah Lay, Burna Boy and others land 2026 Grammy nominations — full list
Nigerian superstars Davido, Omah Lay and Burna Boy have once again made the country proud, earning nominations in the 2026 Grammy Awards.
This year’s Grammys is shaping up to be highly competitive. Kendrick Lamar leads the pack with nine nominations, following his dominant run last year with the hit diss track Not Like Us. He is closely followed by Lady Gaga, who earned seven nominations, matching top producers Cirkut and Jack Antonoff.
Global acts Bad Bunny and Sabrina Carpenter secured six nominations each, alongside singer-producer Leon Thomas and legendary mix engineer Serban Ghenea, whose work appears across several major categories.
The 2026 Grammy Awards will take place on February 1, 2026, at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles. The show will air live on CBS and stream on Paramount+ from 5 p.m. PT.
The ceremony comes after Beyoncé made history in 2025 by finally winning Album of the Year with Cowboy Carter, while Kendrick Lamar took home five awards, including Song and Record of the Year.
Below are highlights of 15 major categories, including Best African Music Performance — where Nigerian musicians earned several nominations.
