Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, has absolved President Bola Tinubu of blame for Nigeria's current economic challenges. Speaking at a gathering in his Bende, Abia State country home to mark his 53rd birthday, Kalu explained that the hardships were a result of previous administrations' mismanagement, which President Tinubu is working hard to rectify.

Kalu urged Nigerians to be patient, stating that Tinubu's policies are beginning to yield positive results. He emphasized the need for support and encouragement for the president as he tackles the inherited challenges.

Celebrating his birthday with orphans, widows, people with disabilities, and the elderly, Kalu expressed his commitment to serving humanity. He criticized hoarding resources while many suffer in poverty, highlighting the importance of sharing and caring for the less privileged.

Commenting on political developments in Abia State, Kalu attributed the influx of politicians from other parties, especially the PDP, to the APC, to President Tinubu's favorable stance towards the South East. He noted that Tinubu's inclusive approach and efforts to promote equity have endeared him to many in the region.

The event, attended by various political figures, featured the distribution of food items and other palliatives to the guests and indigent members of the community, symbolizing Kalu's commitment to uplifting the less privileged.
