A fire outbreak at Owode Market in Offa, Kwara State, on Tuesday morning, resulted in the destruction of several shops. The inferno caused significant damage, as seen in a video of the incident where shop owners watched helplessly as their properties were consumed by the fire.
In the video, one of the traders speculated that the fire might have started from cooking activities rather than an electrical fault. The intensity of the fire led them to believe it was not caused by the electricity supply (NEPA).
