At a campaign rally in Lititz, Pennsylvania, former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed regret over leaving the White House after the 2020 election, which he continues to claim was "stolen" from him. Trump, now the Republican presidential candidate for the 2024 race, said, “We had the safest border in the history of our country the day that I left. I shouldn’t have left.”

Reflecting on his administration’s accomplishments, Trump cited economic success, advancements in border security, and the construction of the border wall as achievements he takes pride in. He has pledged to have “hundreds of lawyers” at every voting booth for the upcoming election to monitor voting integrity, casting doubt on the election’s fairness.

Following his loss to Democratic candidate Joe Biden in 2020, Trump launched multiple lawsuits contesting the results, but these were dismissed in court. His allegations of a “stolen” victory ultimately contributed to the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021, when his supporters stormed Congress.

Breaking tradition, Trump did not attend Biden's inauguration, departing the White House hours before the ceremony. This November, he faces Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris in what he has described as a fight for America's future, continuing to question the electoral process ahead of the vote on November 5.
