The Edo State House of Assembly has lifted the suspension of two lawmakers, Donald Okogbe (PDP-Akoko-Edo II) and Adeh Isibor (APC-Esan North-East I), after a five-month hiatus. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the two were initially suspended on May 6, 2024, alongside Bright Iyamu (Orhionmwon South), over allegations of plotting to impeach the Speaker and other key officers.
Bright Iyamu was reinstated in June after expressing remorse, and now, following the assembly's latest plenary session in Benin on Wednesday, Speaker Blessing Agbebaku announced the decision to reinstate Okogbe and Isibor.
