Edo Governor Nominates Three Commissioners-Designate

Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has forwarded the names of three nominees to the State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation as commissioners.

 

The nominees include two former members of the Edo State House of Assembly, Hon. Christopher Okaeben and Hon. Festus Odianosen Ebea, as well as Dr. Elizabeth Ebosele.

 

A statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Musa Ikhilor, noted that if confirmed and sworn in, the additions would bring the number of commissioners in Okpebholo’s cabinet to 29.

 

According to the statement, Dr. Ebosele brings expertise in project planning and financing, renewable energy transitions, ICT, and grassroots development. She is also recognised for her commitment to evidence-based policymaking and inclusive governance.

 

Seventeen commissioners-designate previously cleared by the Assembly are still awaiting inauguration.
