The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has formed a disciplinary panel to investigate two operatives accused of assaulting a woman during a raid on a hotel in Lagos. EFCC Spokesman Dele Oyewale announced this in a statement on Monday in Abuja, noting that the officers were scheduled to appear before the panel the same day.
The EFCC Chairman, Mr. Ola Olukoyede, established the disciplinary team to probe the conduct of the officers who allegedly assaulted a female employee of Regional Hotel in Ojo, Lagos. The incident, captured in a viral video, showed the officers assaulting the staff during an early morning sting operation on Thursday.
