Ekiti Governor Boosts Amotekun Corps with 30 Toyota Tacoma Pick-up Vans

Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, has received 30 Toyota Tacoma Pick-up Vans from local motor dealers to enhance the operations of the Western Nigeria Security Network, also known as the "Amotekun Corps." The vehicles were delivered in Ado Ekiti, with the Deputy Governor, Mrs. Monisade Afuye, representing the governor.

Governor Oyebanji, through Deputy Governor Afuye, assured the public of heightened security measures to combat criminal activities in the state. He emphasized his administration's commitment to complying with the Ekiti State Local Contents Law, aimed at supporting local contractors and businesses.

The governor highlighted the significance of the vehicles being supplied by the Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria, Ekiti chapter, as a testament to the administration's dedication to local patronage. He reiterated his government's support for local contractors, stating that jobs suitable for local handling would not be outsourced.

The Chairman of the Association of Motor Dealers of Nigeria, Ekiti State chapter, Alhaji Ibrahim Adeniyi, praised Governor Oyebanji for supporting local motor dealers. Adeniyi commended the governor for fulfilling his promise to uphold the Local Content Bill, which promotes increased patronage for local businessmen. He pledged the association's commitment to ensuring that contracts awarded to its members meet specifications and maintain the governor's support.
