Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, opened up about his child's gender transition, revealing he felt "tricked" into consenting to puberty blockers. In an interview with psychologist Jordan Peterson, Musk expressed concerns about the long-term effects of the treatment and questioned the motivations behind its recommendation. He described the experience as "incredibly evil" and shared his feeling of having "lost" his son, Xavier, now known as Vivian Jenna Wilson, to the "woke mind virus."
Musk explained, "It's evil. You're taking kids who are far below the age of consent. It's very possible for adults to manipulate children who are having an actual identity crisis into believing that they are the wrong gender." He recounted being misled into signing documents for his son, Xavier, amid the confusion of COVID-19, and being told that Xavier might commit suicide if not treated.
Jordan Peterson challenged this notion, stating, "That was a lie right from the outset. No reliable clinician ever believed that. If there is a higher suicide rate, the reason is the underlying depression and anxiety, not because of the gender dysphoria." Musk agreed, adding, "The people promoting this should go to prison. I was tricked into doing this. Puberty blockers are actually sterilization drugs. My son, Xavier, is dead, killed by 'the woke mind' virus."
Following this revelation, Musk announced plans to relocate Tesla and SpaceX headquarters from California to Texas, citing new legislation on gender identity and parental rights as the final straw. Vivian Musk, formerly known as Xavier, publicly announced her transgender identity in June 2022 at the age of 18, also petitioning to legally change her name and adopt her mother’s surname.
