Kaduna State has maintained its 24-hour curfew on Kaduna and Zaria towns and their surroundings, as announced by Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, Samuel Aruwan. He emphasized that the curfew remains in full effect and warned against rumors suggesting otherwise, assuring that accurate updates will be communicated through official channels.
In contrast, the Plateau State government has eased the 24-hour curfew in the Jos-Bukuru metropolis due to improved security. Starting yesterday, residents are allowed to move freely between 2 pm and 6 pm daily. Governor Caleb Mutfwang, after consulting with security agencies, praised their efforts and urged continued vigilance to prevent any potential unrest.
Governor Mutfwang assured that the curfew would be reviewed as the situation continues to improve. He also called on residents to cooperate with security personnel and report any suspicious activities for prompt action.
