The Enugu State Police Command has recovered a Sinotruk truck that was reportedly stolen at gunpoint in Delta State.
The truck was recovered in the early hours of January 31, 2026, by police operatives attached to the Awgu Division along Ndeagbor Road in Awgu community, Awgu Local Government Area.
According to the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Daniel Ndukwe, the recovery followed a quick response to an intelligence report that the vehicle had been snatched from its driver in Ogwashi-Uku, Delta State, on January 29, 2026.

Police said the suspects abandoned the truck and ran into a nearby forest after sighting the patrol team.
Ndukwe confirmed that investigations have begun and the owner of the vehicle has already been identified. He added that a manhunt is currently ongoing to arrest those responsible.
The police command also reassured residents that efforts are being intensified to track down criminal elements and prevent the movement of stolen vehicles across state borders.
