A Federal High Court in Lagos on Monday discharged and acquitted Adeyemi Ikuforiji, former Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, of alleged N338.8 million money laundering charges. Ikuforiji's former Personal Assistant, Oyebode Atoyebi, was also acquitted.

The duo was first arraigned on March 1, 2012, before Justice Okechukwu Okeke on a 20-count charge related to misappropriation and money laundering. This decision marks the conclusion of a prolonged legal battle for the defendants.
