Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, highlighted President Bola Tinubu's commitment to developing the tourism sector during the commissioning of the Sunrise Waterpark in Abuja. Wike encouraged investors to tap into the untapped tourism potential in the nation's capital.
He emphasized Nigeria's tourism sector's vast but underutilized potential, stating that President Tinubu's administration has prioritized its development under the Renewed Hope Agenda. Wike commended the NADEEM Group for establishing the waterpark, which is the largest in West Africa, and praised its potential to create numerous job opportunities.
Wike lauded the waterpark's unique design, situated on a hill to offer stunning views of Abuja. He urged the group to keep the park affordable for wider patronage, emphasizing the importance of recreation for individuals to refresh themselves. The event was attended by dignitaries such as former Vice President Namadi Sambo and former Governor of Delta State, James Ibori.
