Minister of Power, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, announced that the Federal Government remains steadfast in its mission to transform the power sector. Speaking at the 9th edition of the Nigeria Energy Forum (NEF 2024) in Lagos, themed "Energising Sustainable Industrialisation," Adelabu highlighted the government's efforts to enhance the power supply.
Adelabu noted significant progress in the sector, mentioning that the government has increased installed generation capacity by bringing new power plants online and rehabilitating existing ones. This, he said, has resulted in a substantial increase in the overall power supply to the national grid. Represented by Dr. Sunday Owolabi, Director of Renewables and Rural Development, Adelabu called on stakeholders, government agencies, private sector partners, international organizations, and Nigerians to join the government in this transformative endeavour.
