The Federal Government has reaffirmed its commitment to providing the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) with all necessary resources to maintain operational efficiency and combat security threats across the country. Minister of State for Defence, Bello Matawalle, made this declaration during an inspection of the ongoing development of the NAF 119 Composite Group (CG) provisional layout in Sokoto on Sunday, October 13.
Accompanied by the Governor of Sokoto State, Ahmed Aliyu, Matawalle highlighted that the move to enhance NAF's capacity in Sokoto is part of the government’s broader strategy to bolster national security and address insecurity in the North West region.
The Minister commended NAF personnel for their professionalism and dedication, emphasizing their crucial role in protecting the nation. Governor Aliyu echoed these sentiments, praising the strong partnership between the federal and state governments in tackling security challenges. He reaffirmed Sokoto State's commitment to supporting the Armed Forces to ensure peace and stability for its citizens and the wider North West region.
