Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, and his brother, Ahmad Sirika, have pleaded not guilty to allegations of contract fraud amounting to N19.4 billion. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) arraigned the Sirika brothers and a company owned by Hadi Sirika, Enginos Nigeria Limited, on an amended 10-count charge related to the offence.

The EFCC has accused Hadi Sirika of abusing his ministerial position by awarding lucrative contracts to his brother's company, Enginos Nigeria Limited. The charges highlight alleged corrupt practices and conflicts of interest during his tenure in office.

During the arraignment on Thursday, both Sirika brothers firmly denied the allegations brought against them. Their legal representatives have indicated their intent to challenge the charges vigorously in court.
