At least four people have died, and 20 others sustained various injuries in a multiple-vehicle accident on Osun/Ondo Road, specifically at Ikeji-Arakeji in Ori-Ade Local Government Area of Osun State.
The accident involved three vehicles, including two buses and a truck. A viral video circulating online shows one of the buses engulfed in flames, with passengers, including two corps members, lying on the ground as bystanders wailed in distress.
Taofeek Sokunbi, the Osun State Commandant of the Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), confirmed the incident, attributing it to over-speeding and careless driving. He emphasized the need for drivers to exercise caution, noting that the accident occurred at a speed breaker.
The tragic accident occurred three days ago, with the FRSC urging all drivers to be more careful on the road to prevent such incidents.
