Fubara Felicitates Muslims, Calls for Unity and Peace at Eid

Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful in the state and across Nigeria as they celebrate Eid al-Fitr.

In a goodwill message released on Thursday through his Chief Press Secretary, Onwuka Nzeshi, the governor prayed that the occasion would bring joy, peace, and harmony to all Nigerians, regardless of religion, tribe, or background.

Fubara urged citizens to use the celebration as an opportunity to strengthen unity and deepen mutual respect among people of different faiths.

“On behalf of the government and people of Rivers State, I wish all Muslim faithful a joyous Eid al-Fitr. May this occasion strengthen our bonds of peace, unity, and mutual respect among all faiths,” he said.

He also encouraged Nigerians to continue embracing the values of compassion, forgiveness, and tolerance, noting that these principles are essential for peaceful coexistence and national development.

Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadan, the holy month during which Muslims observe fasting, prayers, and acts of charity. The celebration is widely seen as a time for reflection, gratitude, and renewed commitment to unity and kindness.
